Since joining the dutch national bobsleigh team in 2019, Jelen Franjic has been an indispensable asset, consistently displaying exceptional commitment, skill and competitive spirit. Growing up in Breda, Jelen’s love for bobsleigh started at a young age, as his father and brother (and team mate Janko Franjic) have preceded him in the sport. This has evolved Jelen into having a remarkable international career. His athleticism and sharp reflexes make him a critical force in both the 2-man and 4-man sled events. As the brakeman for the 2-man sled, next to Janko, Jelen’s lightning-fast speed plays a pivotal role in the team’s success, while on the 4-man team, he brings strength and precision, ensuring smooth coordination at high speeds. Among Jelen’s significant accomplishments is his participation in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, a testament to his dedication and high level of performance on the world stage. Outside of his rigorous training and competitive schedule, Jelen loves to explore new places and experience different cultures. He enjoys spending quality time with friends, and when he has time off, he’s not shy about letting loose and enjoying a lively party. He knows how to strike a balance between being a top-tier athlete and having fun with life!
