Dave has been the pilot of both the 2-man and 4-man team since the season 2022/2023. As an athlete Dave has been a successful 110 meter hurdler on both a national and international level. After 7 Dutch national championships in the hurdles he switched to bobsleigh. During a training camp in Tenerife he decided that it was time for a new challenge and applied via an application form on the website of the Dutch federation. After a few descents in Igls, his passion for the sport grew and he decided to give up track and field and dive face first in the sport of bobsledding. Next to bobsledding Dave works as a lawyer at a law firm in his hometown Alkmaar.
